What can I expect from a Beau & Co. Creative shoot?
A shoot with me is the opportunity to spend an hour or more of quality time with your family and/or pet in nature. A morning or afternoon to hear the branches break under your dog’s feet doing zoomies, possibly exploring a part of South Australia you have not yet seen or travelled to in much too long. Let’s create art to look back on and cherish in ten years time. The best moments are when you forget I'm there, and become preoccupied adventuring with your furry best friend.
How do I choose my shoot location?
Being a lover of nature I have a lot of little spots up my sleeve. Once you have decided what session you would like to book, I will discuss with you where in South Australia you live, if you are willing to travel to get some amazing shots, and what kind of backdrop you are after (including at home or local). Once we've had a nice chat I can suggest a few prized secluded spots around Adelaide or utilise your knowledge on your preferred location. I'm a sucker for forests, trails, greenery and the beach but there are some amazing local parks around too.
Do I need to bring anything to a shoot?
Nope! but I strongly encourage if a little wet nose is tagging along, to bring their favourite treats, squeaky toy, or your energy to get them engaged for photos! I will always have treats, bags, water on hand if required. Being a model is hard work!
What happens if the weather ends up being unfavourable for my shoot?
Unfortunately even though I've studied the environment, I cannot control it. Gloomy days are surprisingly perfect for shoots, but of course torrential rain – not so comfortable. I will always check the weather forecast 2-3 days out and again the day before a session. If it is looking most unfavourable I will communicate this at the 2-3 day stage. I will then make a decision the day before the session on whether it will need to be re-booked for another date. Any deposit paid will not be lost due to this and I have the right to reschedule as many times as needed if the weather gods are against us.
How long will it take to receive my photos?
As I do my photography after hours, please allow 2-3 weeks for the delivery of your online Pixieset gallery. I will always try for sooner if possible. Print sessions will also be available to view via an online gallery, for the option to select more photos than what's included in the session price. A sneak peek of 1-2 photos will be sent through as low resolution to your email within 2-4 days of your session (usually sooner as I can't contain my excitement!)
I would love a session but my dog cannot go off lead?
This isn't a problem at all. With a little tactile computer editing, bam and the lead is gone. Even superstar Beau still has his lead on for some shots (when he wants to explore instead of being a superstar model).

I have been told on many occasions how patient I am, it’s part of my personality! Maybe it’s my Capricorn star sign. Of course, some animals are challenging but life would be boring without this. Sometimes this results in fun or out of the box creativity and photos. If your dog or pet is nervous we will ensure a secluded spot is used, and I will let you take the lead of the session, as they feel most comfortable around you as their owner. Most of the time yourself the owner is at or in the shoot and this assists me in getting those great furry friend portraits. And cats are just sassy, that will never change!
My animal cannot leave my property, can I still book a session?
Of course, dog, horse, cat, llama I am happy to photograph whatever animal your heart desires beautiful photos of. Understandably the elderly animals are a bit less mobile so I am happy to come to your home for photos. I like to think I can make any little nook the perfect photo spot (bougainvillea bushes or local greenery are my jam).
